Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday received Prince Khalid Al Faisal Al Saud, the Governor of Saudi Arabia’s Makkah Province and Chairman of the Arab Thought Foundation at Zabeel Palace in Dubai.

They discussed a number of mutual topics and issues between the two countries.
The talk touched on sincere efforts and the wide range of initiatives launched by Shaikh Mohammad to promote the use of Arabic in schools and universities. Prince Khalid praised the Arabic Language Charter, which was launched by Shaikh Mohammad about a year ago, and its contribution to promoting the mother tongue, which would allow younger generations to connect with their roots, society and values more effectively and protect the Arabic language.
Prince Khalid briefed Shaikh Mohammad on the components and goals of “Let’s Promote our Language” initiative which was launched by Fikr Conference.
He praised the comprehensive development and progress enjoyed by the Emirati people under its wise leadership, citing the progress and prosperity experienced by Dubai in all fields, especially infrastructure, technology, media and culture.
