Mohammad praises success of Dubai’s 24-hour shopping

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has praised the government and private sector’s cooperation and coordination in making the ‘Dubai 24 Hours’ shopping extravaganza a success during the celebrations of Eid in Dubai.

The ‘Dubai 24 Hours’ shopping scheme, which runs under the slogan “Shop All Day, Shop All Night”, is based on a directive from Shaikh Mohammad allowing shoppers to experience a non-stop shopping spree at selected malls.

The 24-hour shopping initiative has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors and tourists to shopping malls in a phenomenon that has attracted the attention of the local, regional, and international media.

Shaikh Mohammad also commended the positive spirit reflected in the retail sector and the shopping centres that have taken part in the extravaganza. He lauded the quick response to the initiative and the activities that were launched in the shopping centres to back the “Shop All Day, Shop All Night” scheme.

He also said that the unique harmony between the key private companies and Dubai government vision is one of the significant factors behind Dubai’s success and progress.

Dubai’s malls open 24 hours for three consecutive weekends from 18 October up to 2 November as part of Eid celebrations.

Shaikh Mohammad also stressed that it was not new or unexpected by the private sector to offer complete support for government initiatives over the years which is an indicator of loyalty for the interest of Dubai.

Twenty-four hour shopping and other events planned by the tourism, retail and hospitality sectors in the city will “reinforce Dubai as the leading destination.

Malls and entertainment centres treat visitors to colourful events, traditional Arabian hospitality, roaming entertainment, parades, impressive live performances, children’s workshops, and special shopping and dining offers.
