Dubai: The UAE Vice-President on Sunday urged youth to learn the values of their ancestors.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sunday visited the location of the filming of Abwab Al Ghaim ("Doors of Cloud"), a drama television series based on Shaikh Mohammad's vision and poetry.

The TV serial, embracing a story idea born from the poetry of Shaikh Mohammad, is directed by Syrian director Hatem Ali.

Shaikh Mohammad attended the shooting of a scene in the series and chatted with the actors and the director.

Adnan Oudeh is the scriptwriter of the series which is being shot in Al-Marmoum desert area in Dubai. Fifty actors from the UAE, Gulf and other Arab countries play different characters in the series.

The 30-episode series will be aired on Dubai Media Corporation's TV channels next Ramadan.

Shaikh Mohammad urged the cast to make more effort to produce a highly creative series.

He further urged the youth to learn about the details of the culture, lifestyle and values of their ancestors.

The filming of Abwab Al Ghaim would take up to 100 days, director Ali pointed out.

The other two shooting locations are Palmyra (Tadmur) historical city in the Syrian desert and Marrakesh in the Moroccan desert.
