Dubai – The coming period of growth in Dubai requires new ideas in the process of management, due to evolving challenges and rising expectations, said His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Shaikh Mohammad made the remarks as he chaired a brainstorming session with his work team at Emirates Towers. Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, was present.

“We need new tools and methods for continuous innovation in order to maintain our level of global competitiveness, which is growing in intensity on a daily basis,” said Shaikh Mohammad.

During the session, a number of ideas, initiatives and projects were discussed. Shaikh Mohammad said that an open discussion and the exchange of ideas with work teams help produce better ideas that can have higher rates of success.

“My job as a leader is to extract the best ideas possible from my work team and making them a reality that will contribute to improving the living standards of people and making the UAE a better place,” said Shaikh Mohammad. He spoke about the UAE’s various achievements in reports issued by neutral international organisations, and stressed that the country’s future projects must be in line with standards and criteria that complement the level of UAE’s global competitiveness and global reputation.

He said that such projects will in turn enhance living standards of Emiratis and will help them benefit from the UAE’s various developments in the social and economic field.

Also present were Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and head of Shaikh Mohammad’s executive office, and other officials.
