Abu Dhabi: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the German Foreign Minister, at Al Mamoura in Abu Dhabi.

Shaikh Mohammad welcomed his guest during the meeting where bilateral relations were discussed along with the best ways of enhancing these.

Shaikh Mohammad and Dr Steinmeier reviewed strategic cooperation avenues in light of the distinguished ties between the two countries and the joint interest in the economic, educational, investment and political coordination fields pertaining to a number of issues at the regional and international levels.

Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, attended the meeting.

The two sides affirmed the keenness of the leadership of the two countries to enhance bilateral relations to meet the aspirations of the friendly peoples and countries. They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region in addition to issues of mutual interest.

Among others who attended the meeting were Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, Mohammad Mubarak Al Mazroui, Undersecretary of the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, and a number of officials accompanying the German Minister.
