Cairo: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Wednesday met Ebrahim Mehleb, Egyptian Prime Minister, in Cairo.

Shaikh Mohammad is on a visit to Egypt.

They discussed ways to develop bilateral relations to the benefit of both nations and their people. They spoke about cooperation between both countries’ institutions and authorities, and stressed the importance of developing levels of coordination, with a focus on the needs of the Egyptian people from the economic and developmental aspects, in particular.

Shaikh Mohammad was updated by Mahleb on the Egyptian government’s plans for for key national economic, investment and security projects.

Shaikh Mohammad said that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stands by Egypt and supports its efforts to regain its influential role at both the regional and global levels.

Mahleb welcomed Shaikh Mohammad’s visit, and said that relations between UAE and Egypt are a role model. He praised the various initiatives offered by the UAE to the Egyptian people.

Shaikh Mohammad and Mahleb also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern, and recent regional and global developments.
