Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday received the credentials of 14 new ambassadors to the country.

Also present were Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The ambassadors represented the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Ireland, Norway, Egypt, Tanzania, Kazakhstan, European Union, Ethiopia, France, Qatar, India, Pakistan, Gambia and Saudi Arabia.

The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development; Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy; Obaid Bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; and Reem Ebrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State.

Earlier, two judges in the Federal Supreme Court were sworn in before Shaikh Mohammed.

Judge Ahmad Abdul Haq Yameen and Judge Abdullah Abu Bakr Al Serri took an oath to “govern justly, without fear or favour and be faithful to the Constitution of the UAE and its laws”.

On his part, Shaikh Mohammad urged the judges to be fair and to achieve justice among the people and to do right, and wished them success in their work.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif, Shaikh Mansour, Dr Hadef Jua’an Al Daheri, Minister of Justice, and a number of other shaikhs, ministers and senior officials.
