Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, expressed his happiness and satisfaction at the interaction of the UAE community with the “Thanks to You” campaign that he launched on the anniversary of his accession yesterday.

Shaikh Mohammad also thanked all those working in basic services sectors, such as cleaning, gardening, general transport, and other sectors labourers.

He also extended his thanks to all people and establishments who interacted with the campaign call to thank the categories that play a vital role in the UAE community and contributes to making life easier and better in the country.

Shaikh Mohammad also said that over the past few days the real spirit of the UAE community was witnessed, as a loving, sympathetic, and compassion society, where every individual offering a service is thanked and appreciated, without exception.

Appreciated

He added that he witnessed instances that made him feel content and good at heart, however he added, this was not new to the UAE
community.

Shaikh Mohammad also said that he wishes his message reaches all those working in the basic services sectors, and that they understand that their work is highly appreciated by all of us.

He added that the UAE will remain an oasis of stability and prosperity to whomever lives on its land.

Shaikh Mohammad thanked all those who interacted with his call and added: “I do realise that what we saw in the media over the past few days as touching and beautiful stories only reflects the true essence of the UAE society and the traditions that are deeply rooted in the sons and daughters of this land whom steadfastly hold onto Islamic teachings that urge us to be kind to each other and to spread good feelings and affection throughout the community.”

Shaikh Mohammad also pointed out that he saw on different social interaction pages pictures of families, individuals, and establishments whom interacted with spontaneity to the campaign call, without waiting or expecting to be rewarded.

Fascinated

He also added that he was mostly fascinated by the pictures of children whom interacted with the “Thanks to You” campaign and who care for others in our community.

Shaikh Mohammad had urged that the Accession Day celebrations this year be dedicated to thank and honour general labour staff such as domestic workers, janitors, public transportation drivers, construction workers, office support workers and others in different categories.

Shaikh Mohammad tweeted asking all concerned authorities not to mark any celebrations for his Accession Day on January 4, as there are other important segments of the community that deserve our appreciation and gratitude, urging the celebrations to be held with them this year.
