Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received mourners for the death of Shaikh Ahmad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the second day.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Thursday received condolences on the death of Shaikh Ahmad. King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa of Bahrain also offered his condolences to Shaikh Khalifa.

Shaikh Khalifa also received Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian President, who offered his condolences with his accompanying delegation, James Michel, President of the Seychelles, Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Prime Minister, Safa Al Deen Mohammad Al Safi, Iraq's Minister of Trade and his accompanying delegation who conveyed condolences of Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, and Prime Minister, Nouri Al Maliki, Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the Tourism and Antiquities Authority in Saudi Arabia, Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Ahmad Al Saud and former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf and Jamal Sadat.

Noble sentiments

Shaikh Khalifa thank the mourners for their noble sentiments and prayed to Allah to preserve their countries and people.

Also receiving condolences from shaikhs, ministers and senior officials were Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western region, and Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region.

The Shaikhs received condolences from Spyros Kouvelis, Deputy Greek Foreign Minister, Mohammad Hassan Al Bashir, brother of the Sudanese President, Karim Abdoulaye Wade, Sengalese Minister of International Cooperation and Representative of Senegalese President and Shaikh Faisal Bin Jasem Al Thani from Qatar.

Meanwhile, mourners headed in Gaza to a Palestinian citizen's house to express their grief and sadness for the death of Shaikh Ahmad.
