Federal Council to quiz health and energy ministers
The Federal National Council (FNC) will address questions to Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, Minister of Health, on the reasons behind the spread of certain diseases in the country and the measures taken by the ministry when a patient contracts a contagious disease.
Abu Dhabi: The Federal National Council (FNC) will address questions to Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, Minister of Health, on the reasons behind the spread of certain diseases in the country and the measures taken by the ministry when a patient contracts a contagious disease.
In its forthcoming session on Tuesday, the FNC will also address questions to Mohammad Bin Dha'en Al Hamili, Minister of Energy, on the reasons for the inadequate supply of energy to the northern emirates and about the government subsidy on fuel prices.
The FNC will also discuss the draft reply prepared in answer to the speech of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the opening of the current season of the 14th legislative chapter of FNC.
The speech was delivered on behalf of the President by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The FNC will also discuss a number of issues on its agenda, which include the General Authority for Social Security, a report on the policies of the Ministry of Health regarding present and the future healthcare strategies and the federal budget for 2008.
