Abu Dhabi: UAE citizens who hold diplomatic and special passports will no longer need to apply in advance for visas to enter the State of Malta.

The exemption follows a decision by the UAE Cabinet to task the Foreign Ministry with forming a commission to sign Memorandums of Understanding on reciprocal visa exemptions with other countries to facilitate the movement of UAE citizens.
