Dubai: Dubai’s public libraries will be provided with the latest publications and resources worth Dh1 million, under the directives of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

Shaikh Hamdan’s gesture aims to encourage reading and enrich public libraries in Dubai.

His directives came during a soiree organised by the Hamdan Bin Mohammad Heritage Centre and Hamdan Bin Mohammad Initiative of Literary Creativity on the sidelines of the Sharjah International Book Fair.

Shaikh Hamdan’s generous gesture is an opportunity for Dubai’s public libraries to supply its branches and subsidiaries with the latest publications issued by local, regional and international publishers in various areas of knowledge and literature.
