Dubai: Fresh from announcing the distribution of 3,000 Android tablets for hospital beds and waiting areas in their healthcare facilities, Dubai Healthcare Authority (DHA) has put together a team to oversee the implementation of the “smart government” applications at the agency.

In a recent resolution, DHA Director General by Issa Al Maidour, has outlined the team’s task to set up the plans and programmes to apply the smart government services, review international trends and making use of them in enhancing these applications.

In the first phase of smart healthcare services implementation, the Android tablets will be provided for all 14 DHA primary healthcare centres and its hospitals.

The resolution comes in line with the initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the directives of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashis Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, in moving towards the Smart Government applications and exhausting all initiatives and activities to bring smart services closer to the people.

The team will work to enhance these applications and activities by gradually and continuously expanding its execution.
