Dubai deputy police chief vows to be a loyal soldier
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has promoted Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, to the position of Dubai Police's Deputy Commander General.

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has promoted Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, to the position of Dubai Police's Deputy Commander General.
He has replaced Major General Dr Jamal Mohammad Khalifa Al Merri.
Major General Al Mazeina, said: "I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Head of Dubai Police and Public Security and Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police, for the precious confidence they have put in me by giving me the responsibility of being Dubai Police's deputy commandant in chief.
"It is a great responsibility and I vow to be a loyal soldier and serve the country," Major General Al Mazeina added.
He also thanked his colleagues at Dubai Police's general departments for their full cooperation and harmony as part of the security system.
Great efforts
"I also thank my colleagues at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Forensic Sciences and Crime Science Department for their great efforts in achieving exemplary results in the field of revealing crimes and catching suspects to boost security and ensure stability," Major General Al Mazeina said.
He praised the important role played by the media in creating channels of communication with members of society and solving problems through a common mechanism.
Major General Al Mazeina said: "Communicating with society members is considered a gain for me. Hence, I seize this opportunity to thank all media outlets in the country."
He added: "May Allah succeed us to serve our nation under the directions of our wise leadership."
