Dubai: Dubai Government's Media Office has denied that His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum had invited Victoria Beckham to design a luxury hotel in Dubai.
The Vice-President did not send any email, invitation of financial offer to Beckham, and this information is baseless, the media office said, denying the report carried by The Daily Mirror in its Tuesday issue, which was carried by a number of Arab and foreign media outlets.
The report claimed that Shaikh Mohammad had invited Beckham to take part in designing a luxury hotel in Dubai.
Ahmad Abdullah Al Shaikh, Director General of the Media Office, urged media outlets to seek accuracy in conveying news and verify sources before publication.
He stressed the important of these steps to enhance media credibility and publishing news without errors to avoid any legal action as a result of publishing false news.
