Dubai appoints new chiefs for key government departments
Shaikh Mohammad in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai issued Resolution No (30) appointing Nasser Bin Hassan Al Shaikh as the Director-General of the Dubai Department of Finance.

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Saturday Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers, ministers and other senior officials, who came to exchange with him Ramadan greetings.
Earlier on Sunday Shaikh Mohammad in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai issued Resolution No (30) appointing Nasser Bin Hassan Al Shaikh as the Director-General of the Dubai Department of Finance.
Shaikh Mohammad also issued Resolution Number (29) appointing Sami Al Qamzi as the Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED).
Nasser Bin Hassan Al Shaikh is one of the leading corporate executives in the in Dubai widely recognised for his leadership role at a range of private- and public-sector organisations, including firms listed on the Dubai Financial Market.
Overseeing a broad portfolio of companies that includes interests in real estate finance and development, education, consumer savings products, retail and corporate banking, and aerospace, Al Shaikh plays a central role in realising the emirate's long-term vision of economic diversification and growth.
Currently, Al Shaikh is serving as Chairman of Amlak Finance PJSC, one of the premier real estate finance companies in the Middle East.
A senior government executive, Al Qamzi, currently the Director General of Government of Dubai's Department of Finance, will replace Mohammad Alabbar as the new Director General of DED.
