Jamal Al Hosani, director of information and communications technology at NCEMA, said: "The idea of this conference came from the need to develop the concepts of the crisis, disaster and emergency management and to deepen the overall national response culture to the risks threatening lives and assets."

Nader Haddad, INEGMA's business development and strategic communications manager, said: "The attendance is expected to include a remarkable number of prominent high-level governmental officials, decision makers, industry partners and NGOs."

"The main topics that will be addressed… are the strategic insights for planning and executing in post-disaster recovery operations, managing natural disasters and challenges as well as measuring resilience-community subsystems and their ability to withstand disasters," said Ali Rashid Al Niyadi, Director, NCEMA Operations Department.
