Dubai: Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media, has ordered the launch of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Centre for Printing the Quran.

The centre will be one of the most advanced, developed and specialised establishments in services related to printing the Quran.

Sami Al Qamzi, Board Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Dubai Media, said that the launch of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Centre for Printing the Quran reflects the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the UAE’s interest in the importance of serving the Quran through a specialised and dedicated body to contribute to spreading the true message of Islam around the world.

Al Qamzi confirmed that the centre will operate under the umbrella of Dubai Media taking advantage of the advanced infrastructure of Al Masar Printing and Publishing and adopting the highest international standards of quality in order to protect the Quran from random printing presses that are non-accredited and not eligible.

Al Qamzi noted that it will also continue to coordinate with Dubai’s Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, Dubai International Holy Quran Award and charities in the UAE and overseas to ensure full services during all the stages of printing the Quran.

Faisal Bin Haider, Executive Director of– Printing and Distribution at Dubai Media, said the centre will be the first of its kind to provide copies of the Quran in all typescripts and writing styles for all Muslim countries.

With an annual production capacity of 6 million copies, the centre initially aims to print the ‘Khalifa Bin Zayed Mus’haf’ and the ‘Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Mus’haf’.
