Chicago: Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, will hold talks with the leaders of 19 Nato and ISAF nations participating in the Chicago Nato Summit.

Shaikh Abdullah is leading the UAE dele-gation at the summit, which includes Major General Faris Al Mazroui, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Yousuf Mane' Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to Washington, Mohammad Al Naqbi, UAE Ambassador to Nato in Belgium.

In a statement to Emirates News Agency (WAM), Nicola De Santis, Nato Public Diplomacy Division Coordinator, stressed the importance of UAE participation in the summit, which includes leaders from 28 Nato countries.

De Santis expressed his gratitude for the UAE leadership's stance and efforts to spread peace, security, stability and economic and social prosperity in Afghanistan and other unstable areas in cooperation with the international community's efforts to spread peace and security instead of violence and chaos.

He added that the UAE's attendance at the summit will enhance the concept of partnership and cooperation with the UAE as part of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative in the next decade in the field of technical training and cooperation.
