Abdullah receives Del Rosario

Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, yesterday received Albert Del Rosario, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.

Shaikh Abdullah and Del Rosario discussed bilateral relations and ways to bolster them for the benefit of the people of both countries. They also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Shaikh Abdullah emphasised the efficient role played by the Filipino workforce in the UAE, and their contributions to various development projects. He also stressed the importance of exchanged visits between investors and businessmen from both countries in order to open new avenues of cooperation.

Del Rosario stressed his nation’s keenness to bolster relations with the UAE. He also expressed his gratitude for the care and attention given to the Filipino community and workforce in the UAE.

Later, Shaikh Abdullah and Del Rosario signed a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the UAE and Philippines.
