Tallinn: Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, yesterday took part in the Nato Foreign Ministers' meeting with participation of 46 foreign ministers.

They discussed ways to enhance stability in Afghanistan and speed up the process of handing over security responsibility to Afghan national forces.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Shaikh Abdullah met a number of foreign ministers and discussed with them ways to reinforce bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and their respective countries.

Nato Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen commended UAE's efforts in Afghanistan which encouraged Nato members and their allies to exert more efforts to help restore stability in the country.

The Nato Foreign Ministers' meeting in Tallinn on April 22 and 23 marked the launch of the Nato Afghan First Policy aimed at increasing Nato-ISAF's support to Afghan local economy.
