Ramallah: The Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation has distributed 8,000 food packages to needy families in occupied Jerusalem and other Palestinian areas in the West Bank.

These packages have come within the Ramadan programme implemented by the Foundation throughout Ramadan in Palestinian territories. The UAE representative office in the Palestinian Authority implemented a part of the programme, while UNRWA and other Palestinian community organisations carried out other parts of the programme.

An official source at the Khalifa Foundation said that the establishment is keen on carrying out such relief programmes for Palestinians to help them overcome the difficult conditions they are experiencing.

He also pointed out that the relief programme focuses on poor families in occupied Jerusalem as well as in camps who suffer significant economic difficulties.

He also said that the programme has succeeded in reaching all poor categories through multiple means of distribution, which brought Ramadan meals and food parcels to beneficiaries in all Palestinian areas in need.

The UNRWA was able to distribute 8,000 food packages in Qalandia camp, Jenin, Ain Al Maa and Nablus, in addition to other families that are in poor condition in Eastern Agwar.
