The Metrological Department at the International Airport yesterday said the wind speed dropped from 35 knots to 22 knots, indicating that the weather is stabilising though there could be some rain.

The sea, however, is still not safe and waves are high, reaching 2 to 3 meters.

Fishermen have not gone to the sea on instructions from the departments concerned, which banned fishing trips till further notice.
