Thunderstorms expected to hit country on Tuesday night
The Dubai meteorological office warns of thunderstorms late on Tuesday with gusty winds, but no rain.
Dubai: The Dubai meteorological office warns of thunderstorms late on Tuesday with gusty winds, but no rain.
"This usually occurs by end of April," said the duty forecaster. He said such a thunderstorm last occurred in the first week of May in 2005.
The cyclone in Myanmar has no connection with the unsettled weather in the UAE, according to the met office.
The thundershowers resulted as cooler upper air collided with the above-average surface heat temperatures here, said the met office.
Visibility was good at 10km and did not affect flights from Dubai Airport.
