Dubai: Thundershowers are forecast to hit parts of Dubai on Sunday, a day after heavy rain lashed Ras Al Khaimah.

The Metrological Department at the RAK International Airport said that 4mm of rain had fallen on the facility on Saturday as moderate to heavy rains lashed various parts of the country.

Light to moderate rains were recorded in Al Ain, while there was moderate rain associated with lightning and thunder storms in Umm Al Quwain. Temperatures dropped across the country.
 
Meanwhile, the Dubai Meteorological Office said that the weather on Sunday will be cloudy with chance of rain, with the weather becoming partly cloudy and windy in the afternoon.

The maximum temperature is expected to hit 24 degrees Celcius, with a minimum temperature of 20 degrees Celcius.

Monday's weather is forecast to be breezy and cool, while a sunny weather is expected on  Tuesday and Wednesday.
