Abu Dhabi: With the aim of promoting animal welfare and increasing public awareness of animal rights, the Department of Municipality Affairs (DMA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Emirates Society for Animal Welfare, the DMA announced in a statement sent today (Saturday).
The memorandum was signed by Ahmad Al Shareef, undersecretary at the DMA, and Nasser Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Emirates Society for Animal Welfare.
The memorandum will form the foundation for cooperation between the two entities, and will support animal rights and species protection. It will also support the efforts of both entities to maintain a good standard of public health in the community.
