Help clean up Dubai beaches on Friday
The Dubai Municipality's clean up drive to collect garbage from the beach and sea along the Mamzar coast will he held on Friday from 9am
Dubai: The Dubai Municipality's clean up drive to collect garbage from the beach and sea along the Mamzar coast will he held on Friday from 9am.
The civic body has invited volunteers to take part in the drive.
The general public of all nationalities are welcome to join us and take part in the cleanup and family activities at the beach to save our marine environment through a fun-filled drive
Head of the Environmental Emergency Office Khalid Salem Sulaiteen said a group of more than 150 divers will participate the drive, for the first time in Dubai.
"The general public of all nationalities are welcome to join us and take part in the cleanup and family activities at the beach to save our marine environment through a fun-filled drive," he said.
"Marasina team will be leading them, a group of volunteer divers formed by the Municipality a month ago. Marasina team has five groups of volunteers including women who have come forward to help clean up the creek and seashores of Dubai and protect the marine environment," he added.
There would be music and seafood buffet lunch for the volunteers. Those who want to participate can contact the Environmental Emergency Office on 042273595.
