Dubai: Don’t expect sunny weather in the next few days.

According to weather forecasters, dust, rain and heavy cloud conditions are expected to persist across the UAE through Sunday at the earliest.

Officials at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology in Abu Dhabi said in an official forecast on Friday that UAE residents will continue to experience poor visibility and unstable weather in the coming days, due to dusty conditions created by dense cloud and high winds.

The national weather centre said accumulating clouds formed over the eastern region coupled with moderate to high winds created additional dust, which further reduced the existing poor visibility.

Scattered rain is forecast on Saturday, with increasing cloudy conditions. Winds are expected to come out of the northwest later in the day and wind speeds should pick up strength.

A “significant drop in temperature” is also expected on Saturday evening and into Sunday morning, said officials.

More dust, rain and cold weather are forecast on Sunday as part of the unstable weather mass moving across the region.

It was really horrific for me, especially because I was in a flight to Dubai from Cochin. The flight was under tremendous turbulence and we were all equally frightened. But little did we know that we would have to wait for 7 and a half hours in the flight after having landed in Sharjah, instead of Dubai. We landed at about 10.30 pm on 6th of April and we were flown back to Dubai at 7am of the following day. It was really a pain and thanks to Indigo Airlines for doing nothing but bare minimum. I shall never forget what we went through the traumatic weather and even more traumatizing flight services.

I've been hearing that this is the worst and the strangest weather that Dubai has experienced. I beg to differ. As I can recall 1981 storm was the worst in which we experienced rainstorm and hail. I was 4 years old and remember being really scared as there were no lights and all we could hear was the lashing rain and thunder!

Alhamdulillah.I've heared that angel Mikaa'eel is responsible for the raindrops that fall down from the sky. He moves them around and causes the rain to descend wherever Allaah commands.
