Dubai: Don’t expect sunny weather in the next few days.

According to weather forecasters, dust, rain and heavy cloud conditions are expected to persist across the UAE through Sunday at the earliest.

Officials at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology in Abu Dhabi said in an official forecast on Friday that UAE residents will continue to experience poor visibility and unstable weather in the coming days, due to dusty conditions created by dense cloud and high winds.

The national weather centre said accumulating clouds formed over the eastern region coupled with moderate to high winds created additional dust, which further reduced the existing poor visibility.

Scattered rain is forecast on Saturday, with increasing cloudy conditions. Winds are expected to come out of the northwest later in the day and wind speeds should pick up strength.

A “significant drop in temperature” is also expected on Saturday evening and into Sunday morning, said officials.

More dust, rain and cold weather are forecast on Sunday as part of the unstable weather mass moving across the region.
