Dubai Police look at impact on environment
Dubai Police organised an open discussion on their efforts in safeguarding the environment and the possible dangers to the environment that could result from police activities.

The discussion, conducted by the Dubai Police customer service department, highlighted initiatives that will boost various departments' efforts to protect the environment in addition to presenting suggestions to improve various fields of police work.
Representatives from Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defence, Zayed International Award for Environment and the Roads and Transport Authority took part in the discussion. The participants pointed out the dangers created by some companies that are not committed regarding transferring dangerous materials and may lead to serious accidents.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of training drivers of oil, gas and diesel tankers, as which is the responsibility of the firms that hire them. They called for tough punishment against offenders of safety procedures regarding handling petrol and gas materials.
