A newly opened community park near Abu Hail Road, in Dubai, is being ruined by the anti-social behaviour of a few people.

Gulf News reader Bhavna Vinay Pant said: "A lot has been done to beautify it but nothing to protect it. Recently, I went for a walk there and was shocked to see the damage done by careless people. During my walk, I noticed a group of small children trying to read the obscene writing on the walls and I was very embarrassed. I request the authorities to look into this issue and paint over the graffiti immediately. As the park is a public place, people of all ages visit it."

Lack of proper upkeep shows in the litter all around and even regular visitors are now beginning to have second thoughts. The community reporter said: "People are also keeping away because in the evenings, it is a favourite haunt for gangs of boys."
