Abu Dhabi: The Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) obtained academic accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) in the US and established principles of technological and occupational education.

General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, commended the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) over obtaining academic accreditation and for establishing principles of technological and occupational education.

The remarks were made during the reception of Chairman of Board of Trustees of IAT, Engineer Hussain Ebrahim Al Hammadi by Shaikh Mohammad.

Prestigious institution

The IAT is the first educational institution in the region to get the international academic accreditation of its five branches in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. The SACS is one of the prestigious institutions for the academic accreditation in the US and the world.

SACS accreditation will position the IAT among the world's elite of vocational and technological institutes and grant its students admission right to world's most prominent higher education institutes.

The IAT boasts to be the first higher education facility to obtain this international prestigious recognition in the region for its five campuses.
