The Bully

The bully appears confident, quick-witted, independent and bold. He seems to have an exaggerated opinion of himself and rates himself as macho and tough. Usually he spends less time at home and has fewer positive family interactions. His parent may have bullied him as a child.

The Victim

The victim is usually shy, anxious, passive and withdrawn. He has an inferiority complex, feels unable to cope on his own and is submissive. He may be socially insensitive and ineffective. There may be temper outbursts, eating and sleeping difficulties. The victim usually enjoys home life and a close relationship with his family. Often the victim may have learning difficulties. The victim may be passive or provocative.
