Abu Dhabi: Twenty aspiring female staff members recently completed a pilot professional programme aimed at training selected teachers for leadership roles across public schools in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) announced in a statement sent on Wednesday.
The staff members were trained to assume roles such as those of school vice principals.
Adec partnered with Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) — Abu Dhabi teachers’ college — to offer the seven-week professional development programme, the statement added.
