Abu Dhabi: Starting today (November 23), schools across the emirate of Abu Dhabi have begun a week-long celebration of the 43rd UAE National Day, Abu Dhabi emirate’s education sector regulators, the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec), announced in a recent statement.

This includes festivities at all 440 public and private institutions, including traditional Emirati model villages within school premises, daily singing of the national anthem and military and cultural performances. Some institutions have also developed patriotic songs for the occasion, and set up popular UAE architectural structures. In addition, pupils are also engaged in developing artwork that reflects the UAE’s heritage and future goals.

According to the Adec statement, the events will continue until Monday, December 1.
