Our Own High School bags top prizes at UAE National Robot Olympiad
Our Own High School, Al Warqa'a, has been announced as the winner in both regular and open categories at the third 'UAE National Robot Olympiad' - an annual robotics event, which was hosted this year by the Abu Dhabi Education Council.
Abu Dhabi: Our Own High School, Al Warqa'a, has been announced as the winner in both regular and open categories at the third ‘UAE National Robot Olympiad' (UNRO) - an annual robotics event, which was hosted this year by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).
Supported by Edutech Middle East and LEGO Education, the competition has served as the initial training ground for the teams who will represent the UAE at this year's ‘World Robot Olympiad' (WRO) to be held in Japan from October 31 - November 2, 2008.
The event was opened on Monday by Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director General, ADEC, and 61 teams from across the UAE participated.
The winning team was presented with a gold trophy, certificates and a LEGO brick trophy, and now has a chance to represent the UAE at WRO 2008.
