Dubai: Our Own English High School-Girls Branch in Sharjah has bagged the Green Flag Award from Emirates Wildlife Society-Worldwide Fund For Nature.
Some 410 committee members of the school’s Eco Club worked to ensure the whole school participated in various environmental initiatives within and outside the school community. The school’s senior leadership team, management team, teachers, administrative staff and staff were on hand to support the students.
The Green Flag Award is part of the Eco-Schools programme of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), an international nongovernment organisation that promotes sustainable development through environmental education. The FEE currently has 84 member organisations in 69 countries worldwide.
