DWC joins recycling drive

Dubai: Dubai Women's College (DWC) Diploma students participated in a can collection drive run by the Emirates Environmental Group. The drive targeted the collection and recycling of aluminium cans in the UAE as part of the students' CSR project. DWC students collected 15kg of aluminium cans.

Students get insight into World Food Programme

Dubai: Students in the BA Development and International Studies and BSc Global Social Science programmes at Middlesex University Dubai had their first field trip to the UN World Food Programme headquarters in Dubai International Humanitarian City. The visit included a tour of the logistics centre where they saw equipment being prepared for deployment to all parts of the world

AUS students perform Neveshaya in Tennessee

Sharjah: Eight students from American University of Sharjah (AUS) performed Neveshaya, an original student-written piece, at the Kennedy Centre American College Theatre Festival held recently in Tennessee, USA. The piece was among those featured in the week-long festival. The AUS students won plaudits for their brilliant performance.

AUS approves over Dh70m in student grants

Sharjah: The American University of Sharjah will provide more than Dh70 million in grants to its students this year, announced chancellor Dr Peter Heath following the AUS board of trustees meeting.
