Dubai: When Lakshmi Konjeti learnt that her two-year-old son had Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), she did not give up hope and started looking at ways of giving the best life to her little one.

Today, she is a happy mother as Rahul, now 8, has not only managed to move from a special needs school to a regular school, he is doing well in his studies. Rahul is now a student of The Elite English School.

“I am very happy that he has managed to get into a normal school and the best thing is that the is doing very well. He gets stars for his good work in the class regularly and also got first rank in his unit tests,” she said.

Sharing his interests, she said Rahul has been performing well in all his subjects, particularly languages. “He is good in languages, loves to draw and has a beautiful handwriting.”

Hopeful about the future, Konjeti has a realistic approach to life.

“Our sole focus is to integrate him in the mainstream first only after that we can think of planning his future. Seeing my son independent is my dream.”
