Ministry of Education plans to launch teacher training centre

Teachers will have to complete 35 to 100 hours of training every year

Dubai: The Ministry of Education has announced that it is planning to launch a training centre for teachers to enhance and unify teaching standards in government schools.

According to the ministry, the centre will have reputed experts in education in the UAE and abroad to provide the best training to meet the needs of educators.

Fawzia Hassan, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Operations, said the teacher training will be continuous as teachers will have to complete 35 to 100 hours of training every year.

She also said that teachers will take part in video conferences and will have personal training profiles to monitor their progress.

“The centre will also work on unifying the teachers’ skills and capabilities to ensure that all students receive the same level of education.”

The ministry has not revealed when the centre will officially launch.
