Ministry of Education denies ordering closure of schools in Dubai
Spokesman says it is up to school authorities to decide whether or not classes will be held in current weather conditions

Dubai: The Ministry of Education on Sunday denied issuing any circular ordering the closure of all schools due to heavy rains.

The ministry spokesperson said it is up to the educational zones or respective school principles to take the call whether schools can remain open in the current weather conditions.
Forecasters have said that rain is expected to continue hitting parts of the UAE for the next few days.
