Dubai: The results for the Grade 12 Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exam are out on Friday. Students can access the results on the internet from 6.30am local time.

A total of 3,573 students from 33 schools in the UAE sat for the Board exam this year.

Parents and students are eagerly awaiting the results because the scores are crucial in gaining admissions to Indian universities or for pursuing higher studies abroad.

Gopika Krishnamourthy, a student from Indian High School Dubai, said she is a little nervous about the results though she has performed well in exams.

"I should get more than 77 per cent because my admission to the Australian university depends on that.

Conditional admission

"I have already got a conditional admission for biomedical science but the confirmation will come only after I submit my results," said the science stream student from Chennai, India.

She said the question paper pattern was different and unexpected this time. "We panicked when we saw the questions but when we attempted it, it wasn't difficult. I am expecting to score above 85 per cent," said Gopika.

The results for Grade 10 CBSE are expected to be released within a week.
