Dubai: The results of Grade 10 CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) exams were announced Friday morning, with several schools in the UAE securing hundred per cent results.

This is the last time the students appeared for the compulsory board exam in Grade 10

A total of 5,149 students from 49 schools in the UAE appeared for the exam.
This is the last time the students appeared for the compulsory board exam in Grade 10.
The board has made Grade 10 exams optional from the 2010-11 academic year.
Students of class X were evaluated on a 9-point grading system. Each grade, given on the basis of both formative and summative assessments, will correspond to a range of marks as indicated below :

Results from UAE schools
Indian High School
Dubai
The school has marked a 100 per cent pass result.
As many as 14 students have scored A1 in all 5 subjects i.e a CGPA of 10.
Of the 577 students who were presented for the exam, 44.7per cent have scored a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 9 and above.
Our Own English High School
Al Warqa
A total of 350 boys appeared in the CBSE Board Grade X Examination of March 2010. The school has achieved a 100 per cent pass result.
The schools claimed the result of March 2010 showed a marked overall improvement of 6 per cent in aggregate.
Jerry Abraham, Govind Mohandas and Jonathan Noble Chellappa secured A1 in all five subjects standing first in the school.
A total of 16 students secured A1 in four subjects.
St. Joseph’s School
Abu Dhabi
A total of 60 students appeared for the Examination.
Ansu George, Meenakshi Shivadas Menon, Merlin Mariam Varghese and Naeema Ali got CGPA of 10.
St Mary’s Catholic High School
Fujairah
The schools has produced 100 per cent pass results. Naveen Jayan tops with A1 in all the five subjects. Angela Sosanna Varghese and Geethika Chandrakumar follow with A1 in four subjects and A2 in one subject.
Akshita Pattan Madhu, Sandra Sunny, Sanu George, Merril Pious Jacob and Zaheer Ahamed Shabir Ahamed scored A1 in three subjects and A2 in two subjects.
A total of 38 students appeared for the exams. 15 students have qualified with CGPA between 9 and 10 and 17 students with CGPA between 7 and 8.
Our Own English High School
Dubai
Out of the 326 students of Our Own English High School, Dubai, 6 students secured A1s in all five subjects and 19 students secured A1s in four subjects.
Amritha Menon, Anukripa Manivannan, Christina Ann Thomas, Rini Jacob, Sarada Ganesan and Sneha Liza Jojo secured a CGPA of 10.
The Millennium School
Dubai
A total of 86 students appeared for the exam and all gave got the minimum pass percentage.
A total of 52 students got a Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) of nine and above.
Tarun Pramod, Jay ANjay Mohnot and Rupsha Roy secured 10 CGPA.
Al Ameer English School
Ajman
The School secured 100 per cent pass this year also. As many as 79 students appeared for exam, 4 students got CGPA 9.6 points, 24 students scored CGPA 9 points and above. 8 of them got ‘A grade’ in all subjects
The toppers are Ajith Jacob Geevarghese, Abdul Hacq Siddiq Mohammed, Sareena Shah Pulimoode and Shada Mohamed Kunhi.
New Indian Model School (NIMS)
Dubai
The school presented 243 students appeared for the examination out of which more than 50 per cent of the students got 7.6 points and above out of 10 points.
Mohammed Ali Jahar topped the school securing 10 points out of 10 points , (A1 in all 5 subjects) while Joel O Joymon, Nahas Majeed AV, Maneesha K Murali, Nimna M Bhaskar and Shelja Sulfi AM stood second with 9.8 points out of 10 points, which means 4 A 1 and 1 A2.
Third position was taken by Jitesh S Nair, Asnin Shah V, Hasna Veerankutty, Nidha Abdul Gafoor and Rekha Girija V with 9.6 points out of 10 points.
Indian Public High School
RAK
The school presented its 17th batch of Class X students to CBSE- Delhi in March 2010 and registered cent percent results.
Out of 60 students, 3 students scored A1 in all the five subjects and three students scored A1 in 4 subjects.
Lakshmi Sasikanth, Meet Mehta and Shruthi Nandakumar topped the list.
Delhi Private School
Sharjah
Out of the 217 students who appeared for the examination, the school registered a 100 per cent pass percentage with 44 per cent of the students registering a CGPA of above 9 and 60 per cent registering a CGPA grading between A1 and A2.
Four students have registered CGPA of 10 with grading of A1 in all the subjects.
Roshan Ramesh , Bhavya Chadalavada, Sanjana Gupta and Rahul Raj are the toppers.
The Emirates National School
Sharjah
The school has achieved 100 per cent pass with Nimish George Jacob and Sony Seviar Perumala securing A1 Grade in all the subjects.
Out of the 215 students appeared for the exam, two got 10 CGPA. six secured 9.8 and eighteen got 9.6 CGPA.
Delhi Private School
Dubai
Top Rankers of the school are Aishwarya Kamath and Mayank Misra with CGPA 10.
Out of a total of 104 students, two students got a perfect score of CGPA 10.
Eleven students have secured a CGPA of 9.8, 45 have got between 9- 9.6 CGPA.
Our Own English High School
Abu Dhabi
Our Own, Abu Dhabi once again registered cent percent pass results.
Nahida Abdul Rahiman tops the school with a CGPA of 10 with 5 A1’s followed by Vanthana Bharathi, Krishna Asokan Nambiar and Sandeep Sunny with a CGPA of 9.8 with 5A1s and 1A2.
40 per cent of students have achieved CGPA of nine and above and 86 per cent have recorded CGPA of 7 and above.
Our Own English High School (Boys)
Sharjah
Our Own English High School, Sharjah, Boys’ Branch sent up 155 students for the CBSE Board Examinations securing a 100 per cent result.
Two students scored a 10 CGPA.
Agnit Mukhopadhyay and Mohmed Raza Haiderali. Six students scored 9.8 CGPA, ten students score 9.6 CGPA.
Sherwood Academy
Abu Dhabi
Out of the 89 students who appeared, two secured 10 GCGPA and 17 students got 9.8. A total 56 students secured 9.0 GP to 10.0 GP.
