Dubai: Dubai’s Ladybird Nursery announced on Thursday that it will be building the region’s first Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) gold certified early year centre in the region.
Ladybird’s Early Learning Centre will be located in Jumeirah Village Circle and will cater to children ranging from the age of four months to five years.
LEED is a green building certification programme that recognises best-in-class building strategies and practices. The certification programme is transforming the way we think about how buildings and communities are designed, constructed, maintained and operated across the globe.
LEED-certified buildings have a positive impact on the health of occupants, while promoting renewable, clean energy.
Monica Valrani, CEO of Ladybird Nurseries in Dubai, said, “We want to build a facility that will be every child’s dream. This is a facility that will not only enhance a child’s learning experience, but also positively impact the health of our children and staff. At the end of the day, it’s all about our children.”
