Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council and the Hamdan Bin Mohammad e-University (HBMeU), Wednesday inaugurated HBMeU’s building in Dubai

The event was attended by Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Quttami, Minister of Education, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, and a number of senior officials.

The inauguration coincided with the graduation ceremony of the first batch of HBMeU’s Bachelors and Masters degree students in Business Administration, education, e-education, healthcare and environmental majors.

Following the UAE national anthem, a documentary was shown detailing the university’s march, which was launched on February 1, 2009.

In a speech during the ceremony, Dahi Khalfan reaffirmed the attention given by the university to e-education and being a pioneer in this field of education in the region, considering that it is the first e-University to attain an accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as its commitment to providing the highest standards of education.
