Dubai: A man is facing charges of raping a woman and then taking pictures of her naked. The suspect, A.S., a 28-year-old Pakistani, allegedly raped M.V., a 39-year-old Filipina, in February, court records show.

M.Z., 26, a Pakistani colleague of the girl, is accused of abetting the crime. The Filipina and M.Z. worked for a Dubai company. The alleged rape took place in the office of a marketing company in Al Quoz where the accused was working as a driver.

The Filipina had initially asked her colleague to lend her money. Unable to help, he said he knew someone who could and asked her to accompany him to the workplace of A.S. to get the loan.

"When we arrived, he (M.Z.) led me inside an office and left me there. I was surprised when A.S. came into the room and threatened to file a complaint with the police accusing me of trespassing," said the victim.

A.S., then asked her to hand over her ATM card, threatening to "do something" to her if she didn't give it to him. A.S. then told M.Z. to leave the room.

The chargesheet shows that as soon as M.Z. left the room, the accused forcibly stripped the woman of her clothing and raped her. "After that he clicked my pictures with his phone, and then drove me home," said the victim.

Upon reaching home, M.V. recounted the incident to her colleague and friend. Later they went to the police station to file a complaint against A.S. and M.Z.

A forensic report showed semen of the accused was found on the victim's private parts. The report, however, stated that the absence of wounds made it difficult to conclude whether she was raped or not. Pictures of the victim allegedly taken by the suspect were seized by police and submitted by prosecutors as evidence. Prosecutors charged A.S. with rape and taking naked photos of the victim, while M.Z. was charged with abetting the crime.
