Dubai: Police are currently quizzing a number of suspects as the investigation continues into the murder of a woman on Wednesday.

A police source confirmed that the victim’s husband, who was at work at the time of the crime, is also being questioned and nobody has been arrested as yet.
The woman, who was believed to be in her thirties, lived in Bur Dubai and her body was found lying in a pool of blood at the doorstep of her apartment with her throat slit. According to preliminary evidence, the victim died of heavy bleeding. She leaves behind a two-year-old child.
The police official further confirmed that the incident was reported to the Operations Room at 1pm. However, robbery has been ruled out as a motive as no items were reported missing.
It was also recorded that there was no sign of a forced entry and that the victim had opened the door for the suspect.
The body of the victim has been transferred to the forensic mortuary, as the investigation continues.
