Woman commits suicide in Sharjah

Sharjah: A 22-year-old Nepali woman allegedly committed suicide at her residence in Al Hison area on Thursday, a Sharjah Police official told Gulf News.

The official said the woman apparently committed suicide by hanging herself with a piece of cloth. “She was found hanging from the ceiling”.

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and forensics officials examined the scene of the apparent suicide after police reported the incident on Thursday, the official said.

The body was transferred to the forensics lab for an autopsy, and the police are investigating the incident
