Dubai: A wife punched her body-builder husband twice then tore his shirt shortly after walking out of Dubai Sharia Court where she is seeking a divorce.

The Iranian woman punched her husband twice in the face and pushed him in front of several lawyers and clients at Dubai Courts main hall.

Minutes after walking out of Sharia Court hall 12, the wife was spotted chasing her husband and shouting at him.

Several lawyers, court clients and staff saw the woman provoking her husband into beating her.

The tall, muscular husband stood calmly. Suddenly, the wife punched him on the left cheek. Then she pushed him and ripped his black shirt. The wife punched him in the face a second time.

The husband continued to walk away, but his wife followed him.

Lawyers and security men pulled the wife away. Gulf News learnt that the husband lodged an assault complaint against his wife, who filed a counter complaint accusing him of cursing and assaulting her.

Court sources claimed that the wife is seeking divorce after a financial dispute.

The latter countered her claims and presented documents in court confirming that he bought her properties in Dubai and Iran and that she travelled at his expense to Turkey, America, Europe and Iran in the past few months.
