Dubai: A Lebanese waiter and a Filipina saleswoman has been accused of public intimacy after police caught them red-handed kissing and having consensual sex on Umm Suqiem's public beach.
Prosecutors charged the 21-year-old waiter, A.B., and his 30-year-old Filipina girlfriend, M.B., with having out-of-wedlock sex in a public place and committing an indecent act in public.
According to the charge sheet, prosecutors said the defendants had consensual sex, hugged, kissed and showed public intimacy without having any consideration to the code of decency. The suspects did not attend yesterday's hearing at the Dubai Misdemeanors Court. Presiding Judge Abdul Majid Al Nizamy adjourned the case to August 18.

During questioning, the Lebanese waiter admitted that he met the saleswoman at Mall of the Emirates 45 days prior to the incident.
"We became friends and lovers. We had consensual sex three times… the first time we slept together was at my house in Al Barsha. Then we had two intercourses at the beachside. We didn't use any protection," A.B. claimed during prosecution questioning.
The Filipina also admitted that she had consensual sex with the waiter. She denied having sex with him at his house.
"We were at the beachside having a walk along with my two friends. I took her to a poorly lit spot near the rocks... when we finished and were getting dressed, police arrived.
M.B. confirmed A.B.'s statement. The trial continues.
