Dubai A Chinese spa owner faces five years in jail for exploiting a man and two women by forcing them to offer sexual services to male customers.

The Dubai Court of First Instance on Sunday convicted the 40-year-old businesswoman S.X. [who owns and runs the spa] of human trafficking and sexually exploiting the Thai man and his two female compatriots.

Prosecutors accused S.X., her son [who is at large] and a 38-year-old compatriot woman, J.C., of sexually exploiting the 22-year-old Thai masseur, B.F. and his compatriot female masseuses — 32-year-old T.S. and 31-year-old C.K. — by forcing them to offer indecent services to men in a massage parlour in Dubai.

The court jailed J.C. for one year.

Presiding Judge Fahmi Mounir Fahmi said the defendants will be deported after serving their time.

Prosecutors described the case as the first in which a man was being sexually exploited by women.

S.X. and J.C. denied the charges and pleaded not guilty.

The primary judgment remains subject to appeal within 15 days.
